I have worked as a Sports Massage Therapist for the last 12 years where I have gained a vast amount of experience working in various settings from charities to elite athletes and private practice.
I have had the privilege of providing massage for such charities as the NSPCC at the unique venue of the gherkin in London, CHUF charity supporting them over a number of ultra triathlons and massaging many runners at the finish line of the Great North Run up until the last 3 years where as a keen runner I have ran it myself. Some of the highlights of my career so far have been working with the Scotland team at the Rugby World Cup in 2015 and previously working with the first team at Durham County Cricket Club for 8 years.
I have a real passion for people and began life as a youth worker working with disadvantaged young people across the northeast for 5 years as well as volunteering over in Cambodia before I moved into the NHS working with both adults and young people with substance addictions. After gaining experience and seeing that there was real value and importance in integrating people in their own communities I set up my own company to focus on exactly that and the power of connection and connecting people.
However my real passion always lay within sport and fitness though, that combined with picking up various injuries across the years myself wether that be through running, boxing or playing football lead me down my now career bath as a sports massage therapist. I wanted to know how I could help people and fix those that were suffering and sports massage just fit. I love the simplicity of how sports massage works as a modality, I love the simplicity of the science behind it and how I ca help aid in the healing of the soft tissue as well as preventing injuries in the first place.
